Tuesday Tutorial - Kitchen Canisters

I found these kitchen canisters at a thift store the other night.



I have always wanted to use the kitchen labels that I designed for our store.



I put them on and loved them - they go perfectly with my new Kitchen Aid (that my sweet hubby got me for our anniversary last week).

Monday's Word - Hippos (on My Mind)

I was playing with my boys over the weekend, and we were doing puzzles. One of their puzzles has this super cute Hippo on it - then while browsing fabric for the kids play room, I ran across the chocolate fabric with white hippos (#1) and fell in love.
I just wish it matched the playroom colors so I could order it :)

Another New Design

We are finally getting our new tree designs listed on our website.
I highlighted them here on our blog a little while back.



But one that I didn't have at the time that I really love is our Daisy Tree with Butterflies.

New Decal Design - Alphabet Blocks

I have an alphabet block design with three blocks and the letters A, B and C.
I had a customer request the whole alphabet - so I turned it into a decal and added a few animals with the blocks.

Tuesday Tutorial: Teacher Gifts

Its the end of the school year and I cant believe my son is graduating from Kindergarten! I wanted to do something special for his teacher. I found these great jars at Walmart and Target for between $4 and $5.


I added a small monogram with his teachers initial and filled them with white chocolate pretzels and now we have a cute, unique, and personalized gift for his teacher that didn't break the bank.


I have all sorts of ideas that I want to use this for. Gifts for friends or we use marbles as a reward system in our house and I want to use these to put on my boys jars. I think it would also make a great way to organize office supplies and craft supplies too.

We just moved back to Boise, and every Saturday there are a bunch of hot air balloons that fly over the city - It is such a cheery thing to wake up to on Saturdays.

Saturday Spotlight

This weeks Saturday Spotlight is Gypsy Rose Handbags.

As a new photographer I was in the market for a new camera bag because I had outgrown the one that came with my camera. My photography teacher had recommended that we not get a Canon or Nikon bag because its a great way for thieves to recognize expensive camera equipment. I started checking around and fell in love with the bags from Gypsy Rose Handbags.

They have so many patterns and sizes. I bought the Large Snugglens bag and I love it! Its super cute and I was surprised at how comfortable it is. I wore it on my first photo shoot last Saturday and it was light and comfortable and I was so happy to have everything I needed with me.

I love that it has these little legs on it so if I do set it down it wont get dirty.

This is the inside. The pockets are nice and big, I wish I could show you how great the camera fits in...but that's hard to do when you have to take a picture of it :)

She also puts another latch to keep it closed when your camera is inside so nothing will fall out.I love this bag!

Its so worth the wait it takes and the price because the quality of the bag is excellent!

Tuesday Tutorial - Reuse your Easter Buckets

If you didn't see our tutorial on the Easter Buckets, you have to go back and check it out. The question is what to do with those adorable buckets now that Easter is over.

This is what I did with mine:



First we found the buckets after searching everywhere -
We found some at Target, some at TJMAXX - you may even be able to find some at a garage sale :)



The next step I took was to raid my little sister's ribbon drawer.



And then tied them on to the side of the bucket handles.



Then I cut out my desired wording:
Diapers and Wipes - Why?
Well because I like to have them readily accessible, not in a drawer - but they are such an eyesore on the top of the changing table. So what better than some adorable buckets.

Applying the vinyl is super easy, as always.



And the final product, exactly what I had hoped for - So CUTE!



Sorry I don't have any final pics of the buckets in the room - we are still moving in and I don't even have the crib set up yet :)
