Style Guide - Aviation Nursery

When it comes to little boys, I think it's safe to say that the majority of them love things that fly. Whether it be airplanes, helicopters, or even space ships, flying and little boys just kinda go together. Here are a few ideas of different things you could use to style an adorable nursery for your little pilot in the making.

This Nursery

Okay, so this has got to be one of the cutest nurseries I've ever seen. Here at Janey Mac, we could even substitute one of our adorable trees to make our own version.

Nursery Decor

As I am getting ready to design another nursery I am finding some cute new pieces I hadn't thought of before.
I love this look - The furniture is more modern than I like, but the paper lantern collage is adorable:

But I would do it with colors more like this:

Because I want to do a look like this - but with a little bit of a more fun/modern feel:

And then I ran across these on Etsy {Tissue Tassle Garland} - but I may have to use these for a birthday party - I'm not quite sure how to incorporate them into the room, but they sure are FUN!

Boys Bedroom - Classic or Fun?

Love these pictures from Creative Baby Nursery Rooms

I want to paint stripes in my boys bedroom, I just can't decide what color.  They have a bunch of vintage car decor, so I was thinking of going with a Go Dog Go theme - bright and fun but I also love the subtle classiness of this nursery - and I love the grey stripes:

And maybe I am so drawn to this room because my boys room started with a pair of lamps in Ice Blue and Orange - my inspiration for their room (I didn't take it too far though :)

And then here is a bright and fun one:

I think I would enjoy more, the classic bedroom, but I think my boys would have so much more fun in a bright room.

I like the multi color and extra large stripes of this wall:

And I LOVE white decals on dark walls!

(Following pics from pinterest)

How cute are these subtle stripes on one wall - I love these colors for a gender neutral play room:

Or maybe just a striped bed - that would save me a lot of a work :)

One thing I think is a must is a wall full of fun:

I would love to do wood floors so I could put down a bold and fun rug on the floor:

Stripes and a bold rug:

This double built in bed is one of the coolest things ever:

This room is kind of classic and fun - my boys would love the planes, and the car rug - I just wish our car rug wasn't so bright and awful looking :)

Do you think that is an airplane print?  Or chalkboard?

This boat would be the coolest thing ever - but I can tell you right now, that's not gonna happen :)

My Jackson wants a bunk bed soooooooooo bad.

I love the built in beds, he is wanting more of a tree house theme to his.
Like this:

I have to admit that is pretty cool!

And just a couple more fun decor ideas:

Have to have these bus bookends:

New Vinyl Design - Modern Square Name

I love the modern and personal touch that these blocks have.

I was just lying down to go to sleep about a week ago, and this design popped into my head.  I told my husband I had to get up real fast and jot it down, so I didn't forget.

I have some new fonts and will be adding wording/phrases to our shop soon - I am excited to add this division to our designs!

Customer Photos - Safari Animals Vinyl Decal

I love the colors of the nursery - and white decals against colored walls are my favorite, they are so classic looking.

This customer custom ordered a bunch of our Safari Animal Sets and lined her nursery with them.  I love how high up on the wall they are - so cute!!!

Vintage Baby Crib

So I LOVE vintage baby cribs.  But they are definetly not like our 'safety standard' cribs today.
I wanted to get one for my last baby, but it seems like they will be able to get out of them as soon as they master sitting upright.

But they are adorable - I am loving this nursery with the cutest one ever!

I love her sheets too - and all of the crazy colors throughout.

Bunting Banners and Mobiles

I love the bunting banners, I have a Happy Birthday one that I love to hang up on anyone's birthday!
Cute mobiles were hard to come across when I was decorating my nurseries, I did without for two and made the third one.

I ran across some of the most unique and lovely buntings and mobiles.

I absolutely adore this Hey Diddle Diddle Mobile
