Room Board - Shabby Ballerina Bedroom

My daughter LOVES ballet!  It mostly makes me so happy that she is so girly, becuase she has all brothers, so I only had one shot at getting a girly girl . .  . And get her I did! :)  She loves all things girly but can still handle her own with the boys!  So, when we moved into our new house a few months ago I designed this Ballerina with Polka Dots Wall Decal set for her bedroom wall.

And I've created a room board for all of the other mothers out there that have ballerina dancing, tutu wearing, pink loving, girly girls!

Style Guide - Blowing Tree

Since first stumbling upon Janey Mac this Blowing Tree Decal has been one of my absolute favorites.
I have quite a thing for trees and this, in my opinion, is one of the loveliest.
Here is a look at how I would style this baby if my current living situations would allow it.

P.s. Have I mentioned yet how excited I am to one day own my own home?

Adding A Bit Of Color.

Hello friends! Please, come in and sit down!
For todays post I thought I would do something a bit different and give you all a little look behind the scenes of my Home Decor life. Now as those of you who've gone to college or have lived in an apartment will know, when it comes to decorating your home you are very limited to your options. This is especially true if you're wanting to add a little color to the mix.

While embracing the bland life that some apartments try to talk you into might be easier (and slightly less expensive) color is necessary and an essential part to ones happiness. Or at least mine.

Knowing that I wanted to add some more color and life to my humble abode, and, that I didn't have the option to paint or do crazy things like that, I had to get a little creative with the ways I chose to pull in my colors. After spending millions of hours on Pinterest, and raiding the paint chip aisle at walmart for color schemes, I finally came up with some ideas that I think came together pretty nicely.

Here is a breif look and what I ended up doing :)

Style Guide - Shine Bright

When the new year comes and Spring starts to waltz back into my life, I always, without fail, feel the need to add bright colored things into the daily mix. Whether it be through clothing, decor, or even a cute nail polish, bright colors are just necessary to welcoming in the spring.  Here is a look at how I would style a brightly colored nursery using our Large Stars Vinyl.

Style Guide - Winter Trees

Hello everyone! And welcome to today's episode of "Style Guide's With Rachel"
or, "Virtual Makeovers With Miss B" I'm still working on it, but thats what I would call it if TLC ever caught wind.
Today I am going to show you guys a slightly more modern and industrial way to style one of our vinyl wall decals, Winter Trees.  I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I personally love the industrial look.  There is just something so clean and crisp about it that I find immensly appealing.
Here is a look at how I would style this particular piece.

Style Guide - Laundry Room

Hello blogger friends, and a happy New Years Eve to all of you! 2014 is nearly upon us! Can you believe it? 2013 has been such a good year for both myself and Janey Mac, and, to be honest, the nostalgic side of me is kind of sad to see it go. However, I am beyond thrilled to see what wonderful things the new year will hold.

Now I don't know about you guys, but with the new year there always seems to come new projects. There is just something about the spirit of it all that gets my creative juices flowing right through the front door and all the way down the driveway. Sorry neighbors...

This year I want to take a little time to make the area's in which I live a little brighter and more joyful. Here are a few ideas for an extremely adorable Laundry Room Makeover.

Glitter + Gold

When it comes to Christmas Decor there is just something so classy and festive about gold and glitter (or, in this case, gold glitter). I don't know what it is about this season that makes dipping everything in glitter feel right, but it just does. Here are a few photo's of different ways you can add a little sparkle to your home this holiday season.

Rugs For Days

Why hello there friends, nice to see you!
Today we are going to be talking about a rather lovely way to spice up a room in one easy step. First, however, I think we should all take a moment to talk about how wonderful Pinterest is. I mean honestly, why didn't someone think of this earlier? It's bloody brilliant! *she says in an appallingly fake british accent* Pinterest is like going window shopping through every amazing store you can possibly think of, only you can stay in your pajamas, eat cereal, and you don't have to get out of bed. Perfection.

Now, now, now, let's get back on topic. Today's Pinspired post features one of my favorite home decor items, rugs. When it comes to adding a little life and color to a room, few things do it better than a good ol' rug. Here are a few examples of just how true this statement is.

Customer Photo - Nursery

Ok, how cute is the color scheme in this nursery? I absolutely adore the grey and white with the pops of orange. I also love where she chose to add our vinyl decal. It fits perfectly next to that rocking chair. Also, that owl pillow is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Shelving

Speaking as a book enthusiast, camera collector, and lover of anything antique, having decent shelving in my humble abode is a necessity. Without it my apartment would be overrun and would quickly turn into the next episode of american pickers. Here are a few unique and rather lovely ways to add some shelving to your home.

I am completely obsessed with triangle shelves. They are just so lovely.

Using a latter as a shelf is such a unique idea. So cut too!

Have a lovely day everyone!

How to Style a Wall Gallery

In light of our new product release, I thought today would be a good day to share with you all a couple tips and tricks to styling your very own wall gallery.

Ever since I was little I have always loved a good wall gallery. In fact, when I was younger I use to cut pictures of boy bands and teenage heart throbs out of magazines and collage them all over my wall...but I mean, who didn't really?
Though my choice of content may have changed over the years, my love for a good wall gallery has not. Here are a few tricks I've found to help make deciding the pattern and placement of your photo's a little easier.

Now for those of you who, like me, are a bit more on the visual side of creativity, prints like these are extremely helpful and rather easy to find. Having something to look at that has several different Ideas is a great way to get the creative juices flowing and help get you headed in the right direction, even if you change things a little on the way.

Another great way to make hanging a wall gallery a little easier is to trace and replace. Though tracing out paper copies of all the different pictures you plan to hang might sound like a lot of work, your walls will greatly appreciate the lack of unnecessary holes this method will afford.

Another great way to style a wall gallery is to simply go the old fashioned way and lay them out on the floor. Anything that allows you to come up with the look and style you are going for before hand is gonna make the whole process run a lot smoother.

Once you have your prints chosen and your placement planned, all you have to do is start hanging and watch your adorable wall gallery appear before your eyes!

So there you have it! Hopefully this helps give you a little inspiration when it comes to creating a gallery of your own :)

If you guys have any tips and tricks, or have pictures of wall galleries you have done yourself, make sure to send them are way! We would love to see them :)

Have a lovely day!
