Side Projects

The last couple of weeks I have worked on a few side projects:

My Mom just wrote a book which I am so thrilled to highlight in a couple of weeks and I designed her book cover for her:

Second is a wedding invitation - My BFF's little brother is getting married and so I designed a few different looks for her:

Saturday Spotlight - Smeeks Candy Store - Phoenix

I have dreamed of opening a party store for kids so when I saw this picture on TomKat Studio's blog - I thought:
'that's exactly how I would do it!'

A place that you walk into and it just feels so fun to be there!!!
I can't wait to visit Smeeks Candy Store in Phoenix the next time I visit my brother :)

Princess Party

Ok - I think I have decided on the theme as princess - but not over the top princess.  More of just a super all girly girl pink kind of a party.  Oh and some lime green and blue too :)

I found these tiaras on etsy:

from - Sweet Treats Supplies

I can't wait to show you what I am going to do with them!  They are tiara's with comb, so they can go in your hair, but they are miniature size.

I also found some great sweet treat items from
Cupcake Social :

Customer Photo - Multi Font Alphabet

This photo is of our Multi Font Alphabet decal.  The customer used across the top of her woodworking.  It is so adorable.

I wish I could have gotten all of her pictures to download from etsy, they were all adorable.

Love It!!!

First Birthday

I can't believe we are almost half way through October.  My daughter's first birthday part is next Friday.  Yikes - I haven't even picked a theme or designed the invites.  I thought I had three weeks still.  Looks like we will be designing, making and delivering invitations this week :)

I have turned to Kara's Party Ideas for inspiration.  Why am I having such a hard time picking a theme!

While searching I stumbled upon
Kate Landers Events:

And I am loving this cake - but I am thinking pink instead of black.

Smarty Pants Children's Sale (resale)

What were we busy with this last week?
The Smarty Pants Children's Consignment sale.
Here is a picture of part of our booth - it is a horrible picture, I know, but it is a picture :)
And not only is it a terrible picture, blogger will not let me attach it right side up, I have tried everything, so I give up and this is all I have :)

We had fun (and got tired of driving back and forth for three days).

Pottery Barn - Hayley Bedding Set

I recently had a customer request color swatches to match some bedding she has purchased from Pottery Barn.
Her bedding is the Hayley set.  I think two of our trees coordinate great, so I thought I would share :)
