Tuesday Tutorial - Picture Frame Makeover

I have had this white picture frame hanging on the wall in my daughters room for a few months now, not quite sure what to do with it.


I have a bunch of scrapbook paper lying around, and of course vinyl, so I decided to make a monogramed piece of artwork.


I inserted my scrapbook paper into the frame and cut my vinyl.


I placed the vinyl on the glass (on the outside)


By placing the vinyl on the outside of the glass it give the piece a more 3 dimensional feel.


I loved the way it turned out, and the colors!

Monday's Word - Peacock

The coloring of peacocks kind of remind me of this time of year. Summer weather is drawing near an end. The brights of spring are fading as we prepare for the winter months ahead. The cool blues and green accented by the warm orange and yellows.

This design derived from a giveaway we did awhile back, they were some random pieces I had sitting in the studio that I grouped together, I had a great response so I decided to make it a decal set in our shop - I call it Whimsical Garden:

Tuesday Tutorial - Mail and Key Box

I don't have a before picture of this box, but it was blue.
My mom bought it for me when I was in high school, and it is one of those silly pieces of decor that I took with me all throughout college and have had with us in every house since we have been married. I decided after I painted my kitchen chairs black that I could finally put this piece to work if I painted it to match:


and then came the vinyl - and now I love it again! Good thing I held on to it :)
